<p><span style="font-size: 16pt">我是一名印度归侨，童年和少年在那里度过?954?月不顾家人的反对，回到祖国，积极投身到社会主义建设中，见证了新中国的成长和壮大。我为自己拥有如此丰富的人生阅历而自豪，我无怨无?middot;·····</span></p>

<div style="text-indent: 32pt"><span style="font-size: 16pt">我于1932?2月出生在印度加尔各答，祖籍湖北天门。上个世?0年代，国内军阀混战，民不聊生，加上家乡位于江汉平原腹地，水灾频发。而国民党政府不但不顾人民的死活，还到处强拉壮丁，乡亲们为了逃丁四处逃亡。父亲和乡亲们辗转流浪到云南、缅甸，最后流落到印度加尔各答。从挑牙虫、扎纸花做起，经过艰苦的努力，渐渐挣下了一份产业，在印度有了一个立足之地。后来有了我们兄?人，我排行老三，我们全家在印度过上了平静安定的日子?/span></div>

<p><span style="font-size: 16pt">我从小就很活跃，常常是小姐妹中的核心。当时的印度社会很封闭，男尊女卑的封建思想十分严重，女孩子更是被人看不起。男孩子可以去上学，女孩子却只能等待嫁人的命运，我对此感到十分不公，经常带领小姐妹们进行反抗，为此我也没少挨大人的打。那时候我就在想，我一定要冲破这个牢笼，过上平等、自由的生活?/span></p>

<div style="text-indent: 32pt"><span style="font-size: 16pt">1950</span><span style="font-size: 16pt">年初，新中国成立的消息传到印度，我们华人都迫切的想了解新中国的情况?950?月中印建交，不久加尔各答也建立了领事馆。领事馆经常组织我们看红色电影，红色歌剧，还成立了新华中学教我们读书识字，这些看似平常的活动对于我们这些生活在封建思想束缚中的女孩子来说却如同久旱之后的甘霖，我们对国内的一切都感觉到特别新奇。特别是在看过电影《女司机》后，我们这些女孩子都开始思考同一个问?mdash;—“为什么在国内女孩子可以开火车，而我们在国外却要忍受这种性别歧视？共产党领导的新中国真是另外的一个世界，我们一定要回去看看?rdquo;</span></div>

<p><span style="font-size: 16pt">1951</span><span style="font-size: 16pt">年叔叔蒋方汉去北京参加了国庆观礼，回来后把一路的所见所闻告诉了我们。听到祖国正在发生的巨大变化，我们回国参加社会主义建设的决心更加坚定了。然而当我把回国的想法告诉父母时，他们却坚决反对。因为那时的祖国百废待兴，生活条件比较艰苦，而且祖国我也没有什么亲人，他们实在不放心我独自回国。但是我认为新中国更需要我去建设，去奉献，并向中国领事馆递交了回国申请。在我的一再坚持之下，家人终于让步?954?月，我带着妹妹踏上了回国之路。临别时，父母拉着我的手对我说?ldquo;印儿，既然你回国我们拦不住你，那你就回湖北老家去把！你回去了，我也算在家乡有根了?rdquo;我含泪点了点头，没想到那次分别后来竟成永别?/span></p>

<div style="text-indent: 32pt"><span style="font-size: 16pt">回到祖国，我受到了热情的接待。国家安排我们在广州台山华侨学校进行集中学习，在学习班我除了学习《宪法》、《第一个五年计划》、《经济社会发展》等法律和文件外，还认识了一大批和我有类似经历的同学，大家都抱着一颗建设社会主义新中国的爱国心万里迢迢回到国内，临别时大家相互赠言，都立志做一个社会主义的建设者?954?月，我为了完成父亲的愿望，志愿来到湖北，被分配到沙市第一棉纺织厂工作?/span></div>

<p><span style="font-size: 16pt">与我同批被分配到沙市的归侨一共有15人，当时大家都抱定了一个心愿，无论生活多苦多累，无论遇到什么困难，我们都绝不后悔！在厂里，领导非常照顾我，把我分配到细纱车间。但是没有多久，我就主动提出要到最苦最累的基建组工作，基建组承担着厂里大部分工程建设任务，我成天不是捆钢筋就是浇铸水泥，一天下来累得腰酸背痛，但是一想到这是在建设自己的祖国，就感觉再苦再累也值得。由于我工作积极，进厂不久就加入了工会，几个月后就加入共青团，成为厂里的技术骨干?/span></p>

<div style="text-indent: 32pt"><span style="font-size: 16pt">回国几十年来，我一直受到党和政府的照顾。在困难时期，别人分2斤红薯，我们归侨可以?斤；别人上夜班吃稀饭，我们归侨吃的是白米饭。文革期间，我们几个印度归侨更是厂里的重点保护对象。有一次我们因为在一起说了几句印度话，有人就上纲上线地说我们是在搞阴谋破坏活动，多亏了厂领导主持公道，我们才免于批斗?ldquo;四人?rdquo;倒台后，束缚在我们归侨身上的枷锁终于解除，我以更加饱满的热情努力工作，并?977年光荣的加入了中国共产党，先后被推选为沙市市第七届、第八届人大代表，沙市市侨联第一届、第二届委员会委员，并被评为省先进积极份子?/span></div>

<p><span style="font-size: 16pt">省、市侨联组织也非常关心我，不但每年代表党和政府来家里看望我，还为我们老归侨免费检查身体，给我们发放归侨生活补助，使我深受感动，我不过是一名普普通通的归侨，做了一点该做的工作，却得到了党和政府如此的厚爱，真是受之有愧啊?/span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: 16pt">1983</span><span style="font-size: 16pt">年我正式退休，没有了工作的压力，我唯一的希望就是拥有一个健康的身体，以平和的心态快乐对待每一天，然后力所能及的多为社会做一点贡献。光阴似箭，不知不觉已经走过了人生的大半个旅程。往事如风一样，经常会吹上心头。回国已经五十多年了，亲眼目睹了国家由贫穷、动乱走向富强、安定，自己也为国家的建设出了一点力，我青春的愿望实现了，我对当年回国的抉择无怨无悔！</span></p>
